What Is Wellness To You?
That’s the question isn’t. To me, that’s always the question.
And no, that doesn’t mean smoothies and face masks. To me, it’s me asking myself: What will a well lived life look like when I turn 107. (Because that’s the age I hope to see).
What is the practice that gets me there is the question.
That practice is wellness for me.
It’s me committing to doing one or two of a handful of “wellness centered” things on any day. It’s accepting that those things are enough and not comparing myself or path to others.
It’s eating the salad when I might not want to, but it’s also eating a burger when I want to. And not feeling guilt about either.
Wellness is me choosing not to take that phone call from someone I know might sour my mood at the moment. It’s me waiting to call them back on my own terms and time & leading the call with the fact that I only have 5 minutes or so to catch up. And not feeling bad about it.
