Well, believe it or not saffron has been shown to have properties to do exactly that.
In my post about Saffron, I share about the benefits of the spice saffron. Known as one of the most expensive spices in the world, it’s also been studied extensively for it’s potential medical benefits.
But, it’s weird that we haven’t heard of them. Or is it?
Either way, my nerdy research spirals led me to checking out the benefits of many of the spices I had sitting in my cupboard.
Once I came across Saffron, let’s just say I was up for another couple of hours saving links and reading away.
As I mentioned in the short video, saffron has been shown to have antidepressant properties which have also been used to help with anxiety, mood, and overall well-being.
This simple, brightly colored spice can help most people safely and effectively.
In addition, saffron extract (an extract made from saffron threads), “may contribute to increased resilience against the development of stress-related psychiatric disorders.”
Crazy right?! Sounds too almost too good to be true.
I had a million questions. Most importantly, how much or little is needed to have an effect on one’s mood. Scratch that, my mood!
